Namingo is a free business-name generator. You tell us an industry and a tone, we suggest names built from a hand-curated dictionary. We also offer optional availability checks across domain registries (RDAP), social platforms, and the App Store. The availability checks are best-effort and may be inaccurate or delayed.
The names we generate are suggestions, not endorsements. They may collide with existing trademarks, fail domain availability checks, mean something inappropriate in a language or culture we haven't curated yet, or otherwise be unsuitable for your use. We make no representation that any name is safe to adopt commercially. You use the site at your own risk.
Before adopting a name commercially, you must run your own trademark search. For US marks, the USPTO TESS is free; for other jurisdictions, use the relevant national office. We link out to TESS from the footer. We do not provide legal advice and do not represent that any generated name is or is not registrable as a trademark.
You can use Namingo without signing up. We don't ask for your email, name, or any personal information. If we add accounts later, this policy will be updated and the change will be announced on the home page.
Don't use the site to: (a) generate names for content that violates the policies of the platforms where you'll deploy them, (b) attempt to overload or disrupt the site, (c) scrape the fragment dictionaries to build a competing product, (d) reverse-engineer the availability-check endpoints to abuse them. We rate-limit the availability checks; please respect the limits.
The fragment dictionaries, the engine that combines them, the design, and the site copy are owned by Namingo. You're welcome to link to the site, screenshot results for personal use, and use the names we generate however you want (subject to trademark law, which is yours to navigate). You may not repackage the dictionaries or the engine as a competing product.
The site may show third-party advertising (e.g., Google AdSense) at some point in the future. Ads will be clearly separated from generated content. We will not promote a generated name over another for payment. We will disclose when advertising is active and offer a way to opt out of personalized advertising.
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and surface a notice on the home page. Continuing to use the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Namingo's operating entity is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. We'll do our best to resolve any disagreement informally first — write to us before any formal action.
